The scheduled audit performed at the Company from 22 22.06.09 to 26.06.09 by the board of inspection audit confirmed that the integrated management system of KuibyshevAzot OJSC maintains compliance with the requirements of the international and national standards of management systems ISO 9001:2000 (GOST R ISO 9001-2001), management of environmental protection ISO 14001:2004 and management of labor safety and Occupational Health & Safety Management System OHSAS 18001:2007 (GOST R 12.0.006-2002).
The board of auditors consisted of experts of the Russian representative office of the international auditing firm “SGS Vostok LTD» (Switzerland) and the certification body of integrated management system (IMS) of Russian Technical Regulations. During the recertification audit the specialists of the mentioned organizations inspected the process plants, auxiliary divisions as well as divisions of the Company participating in assuring and performing activities in the specified scope of certification. So, the scope of IMS certification of KuibyshevAzot was expanded to comprise all process plants and virtually all range of products manufactured by the Company.
The experts noted stable functioning, constant growth and improvement of integrated management system of KuibyshevAzot. In particular, high manageability of processes and their performance, awareness and competence of the personnel irrespective of the position they hold as well as promptness in providing the required information. On the basis of the results of the audit the board recommended that the IMS certification body should adopt a decision to issue a certificate of conformity with requirements of GOST R ISO 9001-2001 (ISO 9001:2000), ISO 14001:2004, GOST R 12.0.006-2002 (OHSAS 18001:2007) providing expansion of the certification scope of integrated management system of KuibyshevAzot) in the system of voluntary certification of occupational and health safety integrated in the management system of Russian Technical Regulations.
In 2007 KuibyshevAzot was among the first national chemical factories to obtain certificates of conformity with the three mentioned Russian and international standards for production of polyamide 6 and urea. In 2008 the scope of IMS certification of the Company was expanded by inclusion of production of polyamide technical yarns and cord fabric.
The successful pass of audit examination by the Company now would have a positive impact on the management system of the Company as a whole as well as on its performance relating to quality, industrial safety and environment.
