Anhydrous Ammonia, technical NÍ3
Anhydrous ammonia is a product of synthesis.
Application. Based on application 3 grades of ammonia are available:
Grade A: for production of nitric acid, in organic synthesis; as a coolant, in medicine, as a solvent for an essential category of nitrogen containing compounds, etc.
Grade Ak : for transportation via a main ammonia pipeline
Grade B: for fertilizer production (ammonium nitrate, urea, MAP, etc.) and in agriculture as a nitrogen fertilizer.

Packing:
Anhydrous ammonia is shipped in special 28 t or 43 t ammonia rail tank cars.
It may be shipped also in special road tank trucks and in buyers’ 40 l steel drums.
Storage and Transportation:
Ammonia is transported by rail and road trucks in accordance with the rules of carriage applicable for the relevant mode of transport.
Anhydrous ammonia is stored in ground based tanks in a warehouse according to the Gosgortechnadzor regulations. Cylinders containing anhydrous ammonia are stored in a special warehouse or in a ground storage under the shed protecting cylinders against precipitation and direct sun light.
Guaranteed storage life:
1 year from the manufacturing date. |
