EXPORTS
The products of KuibyshevAzot are in steady demand in Russia and worldwide. Its exports account for over 70% of total sales.
About 62% of the produced volume was exported to the countries of North- and South-East Asia, Europe and Middle East.
In 2007 году the company sold 102,400 t of caprolactam out of which 41% was used captively for production of polyamide 6 chips. Exports to the markets of North- and South Asia, Europe and Middle East accounted for 98,700 t. Supplies to the Russian chemical fiber producers amounted to 3,700 t.
The commodity polyamide sales have significantly increased: to 10,200 t to the domestic market for producers of fibers, engineering plastics and films, i.e. by 2,1 times as compared to 2006; and exports to Europe and Asia to 53,200 t, i.e. by 2,6 times.
To make the sales of the company products (caprolactam, polyamide 6) more efficient in 2007 the trading company KuibyshevAzot Shanghai was set up in China. The annual growth of consumption of polyamide 6 in China is 8-12%, the share in the global consumption makes up to 30%. The set-up of this company pursues the following objectives: increase of sales and presence in the key export market, optimization of costs and rise of sale margins and improvement of customer service.
In 2007 the technical yarn sales stood at 1,000 t (22% of output), exports accounted for 63% of the commodity product mainly to the countries of South-East Asia, Western and Eastern Europe and North America.
The domestic supplies totaled 5,399,000 linear meters of cord fabric, i.e. 73% of sales.
The sales of nitrogen fertilizers increased by 15% to 1,218,000 t by physical weight compared to 2006. Exports accounted for 57%. The countries of Europe, Latin America, Africa and CIS were key export markets of the company.
Domestic sales of nitrogen fertilizers rose by 20% to 525,000 t by physical weight, and this rise notably fell on ammonium nitrate and ammonium sulphate. The urea deliveries remained unchanged from 2006.
Ammonium nitrate is still most in-demand fertilizer in the Russian market. 84% of the product was sold to the domestic agricultural users in 2007. In comparison with the previous year the sales of ammonium sulphate rose by 52% .
Keeping in mind that 80% of the Russian arable land lacks sulphur the company started to introduce fertilizers specially developed for the domestic market, i.e. urea + S and ammonium nitrate + S fertilizers. Besides the traditional properties the new products feature additional characteristics. These fertilizers containing sulphur improve the quality of the crops and enhance absorption of phosphorus from the soil acting as an indirect fertilizer. The most part of fertilizers was sold through agrochemical depots and representative offices of KuibyshevAzot as well dealers. In 2007 shipments through the own marketing system rose by 64%.
The main consuming regions include Krasnodarskiy Krai, Rostov, Volgograd, Samara, Ulyanovsk, Penza, Kursk, Lipetsk regions, Mordovia and Tatarstan.
